We finally tackled those roof upgrades on our new home, and it's already making a difference. Swapping out the old asphalt shingles for reflective metal roofing not only gives the house a cleaner look but should help keep cooling costs down during summer. We also added seamless gutters and better attic ventilation, which should prevent ice dams and keep the whole structure drier.
